The new LA duo, THEY., are kicking things off strong with their fusion of hip-hop, R&B, and dance on their debut NU Religion EP. With a co-sign from Beats 1’s Ebro Darden and ZHU, they’re already positioned for a bright future, and they’re further proving themselves with this release, which comes on ZHU’s Mind of a Genius label. One track off of the EP that we wanted to highlight is “Motley Crue,” as it’s a laid-back, beat-driven track that features a hook with an ode to LA’s Sunset Boulevard, as well as some more aggressive verses, appropriate for the track’s title.
