CRWNS, a fresh 21-year-old producer/DJ, seems to be jumpstarting his ascent up the ranks of dance music’s elite. With two previous releases to his name, and now this latest offering, he’s cultivating his own sound within the low-end-focused sphere, and many are picking up on the authentic vibes that he always delivers. On his remix of Major Lazer & DJ Snake’s “Lean On,” CRWNS supports MØ’s vocals with a flurry of shimmering synths, which are complimented by arpeggiated melodies and vocal edits that help drive the mid-tempo rhythm.
