DIRTYBIRD Campout Announces Partnership with Do LaB for October 2-4 Festival

DIRTYBIRD will be staking tents and roasting s’mores with some help from their old pals The Do LaB at Oak Canyon Park in Irvine, California, for the inaugural DIRTYBIRD Campout.

Oak Canyon Park will provide the perfect setting for lakeside shenanigans under the close guidance of your camp counselors Claude VonStroke and Justin Martin. This woody venue played host to Lightning in a Bottle from 2010 – 2012 and in 2015 Do LaB’s newest festival – Woogie Weekend.

In the words of Do LaB founder Jesse Flemming, “We are honored to be partnering with the DIRTYBIRD crew to create the first annual DIRTYBIRD Campout. Going back to the relationship we’ve built over the years by having so many DIRTYBIRD artists play our stages at both Lightning in a Bottle and Coachella, we are excited to see where this new chapter together takes us.”

DIRTYBIRD celebrates ten years of booty-shaking house music in 2015, repping a distinct sound that has become a staple on dancefloors around the world. 10 years on from VonStroke’s OG single ‘Deep Throat’, DIRTYBIRD continues to thrive on the good times mantra that has established a loyal fanbase across the globe.

A 24 hour Do LaB pre-sale will run on July 22 at 10am PT before the general sale and full lineup release on July 23 at 10am PT.

Hear Rare DJ Tennis Rework of Caribou’s “Mars”

Caribou (a.k.a. “Dan Snaith”) and DJ Tennis have announced a DJ Tennis edit of Caribou’s “Mars.”

DJ Tennis:

“I’ve been a very big fan of Dan’s music since Manitoba. The textures and the organic elements of his compositions have always interested me and inspired my musical output. This track is an edit but I chopped the amazing percussive elements of the original and merged them added some of my signature dark and distorted beats and basslines.”

DJ Tennis’s edit can be streamed in full above.
