Claptone Announces Debut Album, Charmer, Along With New Release
Elusive producer Claptone has resurfaced with the announcement of a new 13 track LP and a murky, piano clad house banger ‘Puppet Theatre’ ft. Peter, Bjorn and John’ has come along with it.
The new track which is taken from the album is a promising start to a clearly ambitious project and with previous successes already out there, this should be huge.
We’ve shown love for him in the past with his slick take on ‘I’m Aquarius’ and with a storming essential mix earlier this year – there’s every chance the album will deliver.
Signed on Different Recordings, ‘Charmer’ is available for pre-order now but fans and newcomers alike will have to wait until October 16 for the full official release.
Currently on a world tour, the golden masked crusader will feature among London’s SW14 line-up among other festivals and events where we’re sure he’ll be dropping plenty more album teasers.

Pachanga Boys start new label, You And Your Hippie Friends
Pachanga Boys have used a mini-compilation titled A Very Nice Combinado Volume Uno to launch a new label called You And Your Hippie Friends.
The duo of Superpitcher and Rebolledo founded the label as a vehicle to showcase tracks from friends that would otherwise go unreleased. Some of the selections on the record have been staples of Pachanga Boys’s DJ sets for some time, including Sebastian Bouchet’s “Captain Drag” (apparently only a handful of selectors have the file). Little-known producers Yula Hasp, Beyou, El Güero Fresa Presenta and Otto round out the wax with party-friendly cuts of their own. You And Your Hippie Friends will be Pachanga Boys’s second label project after Hippie Dance.

Scissor & Thread Drop New Tailored Cuts Vol. 2 Compilation
Francis Harris and Anthony Collins‘ imprint has released a new 10-track compilation available for download on Beatport.
The latest Scissor & Thread compilation features tracks by founding fathers Frank & Tony alongside some of the imprint’s newer members Desert Sound Colony and Rosas Nievas. The compilation also includes two new remixes from Black Light Smoke, who has been working closely with the label since its formation.

Televisor Drops Remix of Savannah Outen’s “Boys”
The indie-dance duo, Televisor, has flipped Savannah Outen’s single, “Boys,” into a dance-y number with a new groove and instrumental elements that serve as a backbone for the catchy vocals.
