Caribou makes surprise donation of 150 records at Oxfam office in London

Canadian electronic artist and Ph.D. scientist Caribou has just made a generous surprise donation at an Oxfam office: 150 vinyl records from his personal collection.

According to British music mag NME, the pile of records was dropped off at the Dalston branch, and the Twitter buzz began shortly after as fans flocked to the shop.

The Oxfam office announced they plan to put them up for sale over the course of the week.

Caribou recently wrapped up a North American tour, which included a stop at Coachella, and one of the biggest live dates of his career, at London's O2 Arena. He said he "never dreamed" of getting to play the famed venue.

This summer, he's also scheduled to play some of the biggest summer fests, including Glastonbury, Osheaga, the Pitchfork Music Festival and many more.

Last year, the Guardian, Consequence of Sound, NME and many other top music sites named Caribou's latest album, Our Love, one of the best albums of the year.
