Blur to release live album 19 years after the fact, and other live music tidbits from over the weekend

How was your weekend, did you see any good bands? We hope so. Anyway, here's what happened while you were off going to shows.

Blur announce release of live album recorded 19 years ago

On-hiatus Britpop act Blur have announced that their live album, Live at the Budokan, will be released in North America for the first time. The album was recorded at a show in Tokyo's legendary Budokan venue in 1995. The 26-song album had previously been released in Japan, and will come out in North America on Aug. 11. Here's a clip of "Yuko and Hiro" from Live at the Budokan.

Iceage announce North American tour

Thoroughly frightening Danish punks Iceage announced a month-long North American tour, which will kick off in Philadelphia on Oct. 10. The tour will include three Canadian dates, in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto on Oct. 17, 18 and 19.

Ryan Adams debuted a new song at the Newport Folk Festival

Adams played as part of the festival's 55th anniversary. He described the song "as a protest song, protesting the death of my grandmother."

Adams started his current tour on July 22. It's his first tour with a full band since 2009, when he was sidelined with Ménière's disease, an inner ear disorder.

The identity of Lollapalooza secret act Kausea was revealed

Rumour had it that Kausea, the Twitterless, Facebookless, un-Googleable mystery act on this year's Lollapalooza bill, was everyone from Daft Punk to Metallica to Skrillex.

It turns out that Kausea is actually the new side project from Crystal Castles' Ethan Kath. We're stoked to see what he comes up with.
