There's a new label in town and we love it: run by Jan and Steffen Bennemann (plus a whole bunch of associates), the affably titled Holger outlet makes its debut with the "Trentaseitrenta" EP from Italian duo Margot. Bravely merging free-spirited kraut soundsculpting with pop-infused techno, the EP's four tracks manage to astonish and thrill its listeners with their leftfield congeniality. There's a (German) interview with the label heads on the FrohFroh blog - read it here. Highly recommended!

Areal and IRR label head Metope is at it again, throwing us some pretty sexy bones with his newest mixtape. After releasing the digital compilation "Lazerwhales 2" and the awesome "Reverse Peephole" 12" from Matt Karmil (which is completely sold out at the moment and rightly so), the jack of all trades sat down for a classy selection of tracks that should perfectly bridge your personal gap to the weekend. Get it here!

Next week sees the official release of the long-awaited new full-length from Kompakt stalwart Hiroshi Watanabe aka Kaito, whose last proper album "Trust" dates back to 2009. With "Until The End Of Time", we find the Japanese luminary crafting a deeply personal narrative in line with his earlier work while carving out the timeless qualities of his trademark sound to interlock with today's floor gusto... meaning that yeah, it definitely sounds like him, but the dreamy, intimate quality is congenially backed up by a strong beat foundation that keeps those swirling tectonic trance antics firmly floor-bound. The primer 12" "Behind My Life" gave us already a taste of the goods to come, and now you can indulge in the semi-abstract imagery of meshing clouds from the album teaser video to be found here... Kaito might just have outdone himself this time around.
